Soundwave 2014

I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my last official day of unemployment that at a kick ass music festival, filled with bands that made me relive my highschool years, my best friend on the planet, and my love. Seriously, February 28 2014, was a radical day. Dom made the trip from Christchurch, NZ to Melbourne to go to Soundwave, and the mister and I tagged along for the ride. It was a great ride.

There were so many fun shows, and so many bands that took me back to the days of being 15 years old, walking through college corridors listening to tunes, making mix cds for my pals, and spending countless hours in the darkroom or media room, editing to some of what I thought was the best music ever. Our day started at about lunchtime, when we arrived at the Flemington Racecourse, right as Alterbridge we finishing their set. Then it was off to Alkaline Trio, AFI, The Living End, Placebo, A Day to Remember, Crosses, Finch, Korn, Jimmy Eat World, and rounded off by Green Day. Seriously, ridiculous how much fun I had, I can’t wait to see the line up for next year. I think we might have started something here.

    1. It was so much fun! I have wanted to go for ages too but it always seemed like such a mission being in NZ. No more excuses for us haha.

I acutally bought my hat at soundwave because I was getting super sunburnt. It was from a super cute little stall called Grandma Funk. I have wanted one like it forever so was so excited when I found it, and I got a bargain too! Woohoo.
